I'm always keen to get into the Backcountry, but then reality gets in the way to fit in that epic multi-day trip! We are lucky in Nelson to have a lot of options to get your back country fix without going far.

Last Sunday morning was a rainy one for us my son and his mate were keen for a ride, and the Hacket Track is a good one when it is wet, and it has some great side trip options and a Hut to have lunch at ... mint. Check the video below to see how are #microadeventure went Cheers

New for me on this trip was my ACR ResQlink Personal locator beacon from SAR Dynamics. I couldn't be more happier about this, to have the support from SAR Dynamics is fantastic. Having a PLB is essential in NZ because of its mountainous terrain, tech trails, inaccessibility and Limited cell phone reception. I will be carrying this super small PLB from short local Mountain bike trips, bike skill coaching through to backcountry missions.
